Gamora had never been a heavy sleeper, so the moment something shifted beside her, something foreign and she could smell him all cigarettes and new her eyes snapped open. Not one to sleep naked, because you never knew what might happen at least she was in a tank top and shorts and she slid the knife out from under her pillow to press firmly against the line of his throat. The ship's hum even though they were not on a ship, just in the room of one reminded her she was still where she belonged it's just that the person who belonged there with her was gone and this Constantine was in his place.

The door was still closed and she would have woken if it had opened, so that left her with further questions. "You do not belong here," Gamora said quietly as she pushed the knife a little more firmly into his skin.

She glanced back at the door and then at Quill's gun right there beside the bed which she reached for as she placed a knee firmly in the center of Constantine's chest. "Is this your doing?"

Gamora averted her gaze, not awkward so much as not wanting to see that much of Constantine. The room hummed in its usual fashion and she felt like it was curious about where Quill had got to along with her. "My one," she said with a frown, because pointless talking was not something she was fond of. "You're in his spot," Gamora told him as she reached for her pants and pulled them on.

"This is my room, from my ship, it just appeared one day," Gamora explained with a little shrug. It felt like home, more like home than anywhere else ever had and since it had arrived she felt much more comfortable being there. This earth substitute was somehow too big and too small all at once.

Well. That was true. He was in Peter's spot. "Not on purpose," John said, raising an eyebrow and finally pulling a sheet up and over enough to cover himself a bit. Gamora seemed, a little, like she might be the sort to just send him on his way without any sort of clothes with him if she got cross enough. And sure, he'd walked around naked or worse before, but it didn't mean he was keen on the concept just now.

"Nice room," he decided, before closing his eyes for a moment, trying to get a feel for that thread of magic that had nothing to do with the room or even really with himself. Foreign stuff was always the worst, creeping up when least expected. "Don't suppose you've been mucking about with any magics lately?" He asked, before pointing a little questioningly toward a pair of jeans on the floor near the bed. Quill wasn't his size, but something was better than nothing.

Oh he'd be lucky if she sent him on his way naked, that was one of the best case scenarios. But covering himself was a good start and she caught the gesture out of the corner of his eye. "No? Good," Gamora said flatly. She pulled on a jacket, feeling more like layers were a good way to go when something was afoot.

Gamora didn't take well to people generally. But liking her room was a good way of endearing himself to her. She relaxed slightly as she lay her hand over the panel beside the door and pet it gently. "Magic?" Gamora asked as she raised her eyebrows. "No." Constantine gestured for Quill's pants and she looked between him and the jeans and back again, they weren't about to be an excellent fit. "You're nearly better off with a pair of mine," she told him but she did fetch Peter's jeans for him.

"No," John confirmed, although he was fairly hard pressed to think about who would do this on purpose. Which probably meant it was the town being funny again. He might have preferred being a too-horny teenager again to this, though.

He took the jeans in question and -- yeah, alright, he probably would have been better off with Gamora's, it was true. He was thinner than most, wiry whereas someone like Quill had mass and muscle. Too much movement would see these jeans coming off, but it was fine if all he was planning on doing was walking -- they'd just ride low on his hips was all.

"Right," he said. "Best be on my way then. If I see Quill on the way, I'll send him in your direction." He had a feeling, though, that this wasn't any kind of end to the moment.

	Of course things weren't that simple and John very much wasn't on his way anywhere. In fact he was staying very much by Gamora's side. No matter how hard they tried and Gamora tried very hard thanks, neither could move further from one another than a handful of feet. He did look quite good in one of her shirts though, not that she told him that. (Reply to this) (Parent)
