"I don't know, I mean I didn't see anyone else for a few days? They could have been here though. Then people started arriving," Steve explained. Honestly being here alone hadn't been the worst thing, he'd actually enjoyed a little solitude and quiet. Living on the run had meant living in close quarters and Steve had slept most of the first few days, utterly exhausted from what he'd gone through on earth.
Sitting on the sidelines had been Steve's entire life. With sports or games, he was relatively smart but not the smartest, so being invisible, well Steve knew what that was like. "I sure don't miss it," Steve said honestly. "But it taught me how to take a punch."
As she took off the tops Steve held the trees steady and then moved them into a pile so they could lift them. "The older one, he's from my own universe," Steve explained before he paused. How did he go about that one? The last thing he wanted to do was get into it, although at some point they would need to, that point wasn't now.
"We were on the same team, went up against Thanos and, well," Steve shrugged his shoulders. "We'd won a few before then together."
