It was sort of funny how the time passed here. Slow and fast all at the same time. Loki felt very much like he’d just arrived but in reality he’d been here in “Starklandia” for almost ten days. Ten grueling days. Beyond his meet up and failed attempt at leaving with America, he’d mostly been laying low — reading up on the current network to try and get a feel for the people who’d arrived here. Most, he found, were excitable. Others — well. They were Avengers in some fashion. Not so much excitable as almost stupidly well-meaning. It made for a very strange set up, and not one that Loki was sure he wanted to put himself in the middle of.
Eventually, he supposed, he’d have to. He couldn’t lurk around in the shadows forever, nor did he want to. Even if he wouldn’t openly admit it, Loki preferred to have attention of any kind over nothing at all.
He also preferred places that had diners that served breakfast meats though, so it wasn’t like anyone was really getting what they wanted in this place.
There were options though, maybe. Like, if he opened and closed the doors in the House of Leaves enough, he might find something that suited his fancy. Or at least got him bacon from somewhere that wasn’t a forest with an odd boar where he’d have to do all the work himself.
So far, several dozen open and closes hadn’t gotten him anything close to what he wanted. Loki closed the current door he was working on again and heaved out a private sigh of frustration.
