The roads were slippery, was what had happened. Well, that and a healthy dose of Rich Tozier zoning out and going a little too fast, too lost in his own head to really be paying attention to the empty, empty road. And then some little animal had gone and run out into it and --
Well. Here they were, Richie's ears buzzing with a rush of blood and adrenaline that wasn't being put to any good use. He'd bumped his head on the steering wheel when he'd spun out after hitting the break too hard, but he was pretty sure it was just going to be a bump and a blow to his ego more than like... a ton of blood and selective amnesia or whatever it was that happened when you hit your head too hard.
"Uh," he said, surprised to see someone leaning into his car. A doctor, apparently. With curly hair and a concerned expression. A different kind of concerned than he'd been getting lately -- nothing steeped in pity, just... real concern. Richie reached up to push his glasses further up his nose, and then touch at his forehead tentatively. "Hi? There was a rabbit. I think."
