Who: Stan Uris and Richie Tozier What: Have we exhausted all the hallmark plots yet? I think not Where: Another small town When: Today
Maybe Stan was just hoping to round out his trips, one for each of the Losers, maybe he was just having a good time with it all for a change. Whatever the reason, he'd ended up talking Richie into coming through the door with him after he'd got back with Bev, blushing and laughing all over again.
"Any day now," He told little Sharon, who had been peering over the table top, clutching at the edge with her hands and standing on tip toe to watch him work as he examined their family pet cat that had managed to get herself pregnant. They might just get lucky and end up with a litter of kittens for Christmas. "Everyone is doing great." He assured her with an easy smile.
"I'm going to name one Snowflake." Sharon had told him, her eyes bright as she gently pet momma cat.
"I think that's a great name." Stan told her and then turned his attention to her mother. "Everything looks fine, just give me a call if you all need any help in the next couple of days, but I think you won't have any trouble when the time comes." And with that they were off and on to the rest of their day, while Stan took a little bit of time to close up for the day.
It was cold out, the wind biting as it found ways through his coat and against his skin in the short amount of time it had taken him to get to his car. But he'd made it to the relative warmth and safety of his truck's interior and started the drive home. What he hadn't expected was to end up pulled over on the side of the road not too far outside town making his way down an embankment to a car that looked like it had skidded off the road. He pulled his coat more tightly around himself and then pulled the car door open finding a man inside who looked not like he was terribly injured just a little dazed maybe. "Hey there," He greeted, "I'm Dr. Uris," Sure he was just a vet but it still counted, "How are you feeling? How's your head? Do you know what happened?"
