WHO: Natasha and Clint WHAT: Another trip through the doors WHERE: Small Town WHEN: Today
The doors were still a source of mystery to Natasha, even after her trips through before had ended not quite happily she was still eager to go through again and see what she might find on the other side, and today she was roping Clint into coming along with her. After all what was the fun of an adventure with no one to share it with? And she hadn't had nearly enough time with him since she'd arrived, her own fault mostly, but she was looking to change that.
So there they were, "I've got a good feeling about this one." She'd told him as she pulled open the door and they'd stepped through.
"Look, it's not forever, just for a couple of weeks." Her manager had said to her.
Natasha hadn't wanted to leave, but she needed to get out of the city, even she could admit that much. After her relationship had fallen apart very publicly with her partner announcing to the world that he was getting married to his mistress who was also pregnant? Well she'd been hounded relentlessly with people wanting her to comment on it, but she'd still been processing it all herself, how was she supposed to tell them anything about what she felt when not even she knew the answer to that. "What am I supposed to do out there for a couple of weeks?" She'd complained.
But she knew it would be good to get away for a little while, where she didn't have a camera in her face every time she stepped out the door.
"Relax, take in the scenery, maybe you'll meet someone." Natasha had to hold back the groan that wanted to come out. But there had been no arguing it, and she'd been on a flight later that same day, which had ended in an hour drive to a little bed and breakfast that might have been sweet if she was out here for any other reason than getting over a broken heart. But things were what they were and she made her wearily inside, leaning against the counter and rang the bell.
