WHO: Peter B and Claire WHAT: The same movie, different actors WHERE: Small snowy Christmas town WHEN: Today
Peter didn't really do the doors that often, he was more than happy to stick around town and avoid them all together most of the time, but Claire had urged him to try it again after they'd heard that the doors were doing something interesting and not the spooky kind of interesting but the you've gotta go see this kind of interesting. So he'd decided to suck it up and go and see what the fun and interesting sort of time was.
Of course, being that it was the town things never could be quite that simple could they?He and Claire had gone through the door together but when the door closed behind them thing shifted, like the world tipping on its axis without reason or explanation.
He'd just finished pulling out the last of the pies he'd been baking for the upcoming Christmas fest, the smell of warm holiday spices and fruit filled the bakery and Peter laid them all out staring with a pleased smile at all his hard work. The pies would be auctioned off at the upcoming festival and go to benefit the local children's group that was trying to get enough money together so they could make it to the big Christmas concert at the state capital later that month.
He was happy to help them by donating some of his pies, they were pretty famous around these parts and so he thought they'd be a pretty decent contribution. Just as he'd finished cleaning up the last of his preparations and mess he heard the bell over the door chime. "Oh we're closed," He called out, without looking immediately, but after he brushed off his hands he turned toward the door, pausing for a moment at the sight of one of the most beautiful women he'd ever seen. "Hi, can I get you anything?" He asked her, despite having just told her things were closed. "I was just closing up, but I can make you a cup of coffee or get you something to eat?" He offered, it was only right, after all, she looked like she was new in town.
