The trouble with letting him know exactly what was going on, Leia had already surmised would be how he responded. She knew better than to think it would be enough to put him off, given she knew just how stubborn he was - and generally how self assured too, when it came to what he could handle. She wasn’t dissimilar, but this was different and she needed to be able to choose how she wanted the situation to be controlled and for him to behave with some sense about it.
Her reluctance was clear, but his softening tone helped, and the Princess let out a sigh, a small shrug of defeat in her shoulders. There really wasn’t any going back now on simply forging ahead, recounting what happened.
“I think most of us had no idea they were locking people in- thankfully I ended up with Siri. And I had a weapon with me.” Sure, Leia was proud of her ability to defend herself, and that she’d have fought no less hard had she been alone, but she also was willing to give credit where due, the Jedi Master had kept her alive. “Anyway, we encountered these creatures- which in some ways resembled the Shistavanen.” Wolf-like with the ability to stand on their hind legs, making them appear humanoid, they’d moved on four legs as well though.
“They weren’t. They were Werewolves-” And for a moment, Leia thought that would be all she’d need to say, sort of. “You remember when Remus- addressed the community about his affliction? That evening of the full moon he didn’t have his Sirius around to prevent him attacking the town.” Leia, had in fact shot him with her blaster. She still felt rather bad about that. “They were similar.” Only they were bigger, more monstrous, in her eyes.
It was hard to isolate, to recoil or avoid looking at him in such a confined space, but perhaps that was a good thing, even so, Leia kept what distance she could. “We fended them off, until morning-" The difficulty and trauma associated with that had stayed with her, and she'd thought that was the only reason she'd been continually haunted in her sleep. "But in the process I was bitten by one.” She had already wrapped her hand around a wrist and was starting to wring at it.
