Who: Steve Harrington & Loki Laufeyson What: Steve comes over...and he's got pie. Where: Loki's House > Hallmark Extravaganza When: Mid-Afternoon Rating: Maybe some mild swears
Steve has to admit, he kind of thought she was kidding about the house being green. (He should probably know better by now, right, that no one in this town is ever kidding.)
But it is green, unmistakably so (just like Loki said it would be), and Steve stands outside of it, on the sidewalk, staring for a solid twenty seconds. The future is weird, and this town is even weirder. He shrugs to himself, one hand resting on top of the cheesecloth that's protecting his pie from the elements, the other supporting the weight of the plate from the bottom. It had taken the better part of the week to gather all the ingredients, especially so he could make two of the pies - one for him and Loki, like he'd promised - and the other to give to Klaus, as some form of payment. Even though that wasn't strictly required, apparently, but call it his Midwestern sensibilities - he felt strange, asking for things without giving something tangible in return. He still hadn't quite figured out his place in this town, so at least hunting down everything he needed (pots, pans, a grater for the nutmeg, on and on) gave him something productive to do.
Steve knocks on the door with three quick raps before pushing his sunglasses up to the top of his head, a few stray pieces of his bangs falling over his forehead. Any lingering awkwardness, he's trying to push away because - well, to be honest, he's not really good at this? Making friends? He's good at being cool (accounts may differ on this, but hey), but actual decent friends weren't really his forte. Loki seemed cool, though, and they had a good conversation and she had invited him over, so. He's trying, and he's sick of sitting in his apartment, so that's gotta count for something, right?
