Gwen's friends were kind of a mishmash of eclectic people. She had geeks like Harry and Peter, but she also had her band mates, and they weren't geeky really at all. Em Jay, Betty and Glory were all very different personalities and although Gwen clashed pretty hard with Em Jay she still considered her a friend. Friends, even though Gwen cut them all out of her life.
Although Beverly was older, Gwen definitely didn't think she was uncool. Most of the people she knew and cared about in town were older than her. It was slim pickings to find a teenager around town. Actually, the more she was getting to know Beverly, the cooler she was becoming to her. Gwen hoped they'd become friends.
"That's awesome," she said when Beverly explained to her about not only what kinds of clothes she designed but also how she was doing it the right way, helping people and making a difference. You didn't have to sling webs and have venom running through your body that made you strong to be a super hero. "I play drums. We had a bit of a falling out but that's part of being rock-n-roll I guess. We got back together but then I ended up here so..." She shrugged. "My drum set appeared here a few months ago so I can still play when I want to. I'd love to see what kinds of designs you could come up with here. It'd be especially good if we go through a dry spell finding clothes to keep stocked."
