Gwen was definitely the kind of teenager Beverly would want to hang out with when she'd been a teenager - unfortunately, she didn't have any girl friends so she didn't know what that was like, really, to have a camaraderie with the fairer sex. Her friends were all Losers, and boys, and she loved them - but a part of her wished that the other girls in school didn't taunt her so bad, going so far as to dump trash on her in the bathroom and other awful things.
Ah, well. Maybe they could still be friends, even if Beverly was older and very uncool, probably.
"You were in a band?" she grinned, clearly impressed. "That's great. What do you play? And I made clothes for women - business casual and also work clothes, and evening wear. We partnered with organizations to create better working conditions for women abroad too." No sweatshops, no women or children making 10 cents an hour - not on Beverly's watch, not with her clothing line.
