"Oh!" Beverly's expression lit up like a Christmas tree. "Yeah, that was actually my next question. I can sew - it's one of my favorite things to do." She could sew, needle and thread old-fashioned style, or she could use a machine. She could knit and crochet (those needles made for excellent weapons) and, in fact, she was thinking of Christmas gifts that were created via looping and swooping, but she'd have to see what kind of fabric she could discover and what kind of time she had.
She tried not to just like, bolt for the back room (fabric bolt pun - so, so bad. Her inner jokester wasn't even that great). "Laundry's a good idea too - so you've got a washer and dryer back there and fabric bolts? I can take a look and see if anything inspires me. I'd love a few sewing projects to work on. I guess - I mean, I'm a fashion designer. Where I came from. I had my own clothing line."
No way was she giving her ex-husband any credit for that. In fact, she'd prefer to never think of him again if she could help it.
