Newcomers were to be expected now. Carol was catching wise to the notion that on any given day one, two, or more people might arrive in this little haven of theirs. She had started wondering if she could talk to Captain Rogers about organizing a scouting group to start locating newcomers. Just as soon as we get everything else on the list done. Things were more slow-going than she would have liked, but they were progressing. So that was good, at least.

She'd been on her way to the coffee shop to see who was around and talk about next steps when she saw a figure lying on the ground. Not just a figure, a blond woman who didn't seem to be in good shape. No one else was around and Carol was cautious to approach. Then the woman moved and she picked up her pace.

"Hello, just relax." Carol knelt down by the woman, her eyes scanning over her and going straight tot he leg. She looked stoic, hiding her concern and the caution she felt. Her sense told her something was wrong her, but she wasn't one to pass up anyone who needed assistance. Even a total stranger. "My name's Carol. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you just arrived here."

The poor woman looked like she'd been through hell and back. "Do you think you can stand?"
