"You're not - you couldn't be bothering me." Stan told her honestly, it was impossible, it didn't matter how much of a failure he felt like himself, he ached for this sort of thing, being able to be near them all again. There was just a part of him that said he wouldn't be wanted, at least not at first.
But Bev was here now, telling him that she wanted to be there, to talk and Stan was never going to tell her he didn't want her around. So he let her in and he watched as she started and then stopped before inviting him to sit with her.
"I-" He started before he sat down to, tugging up the sheets and blankets again like he could cover up the parts of himself that he didn't want to own up to. "I am sorry." He needed to say it, the same as he'd said it to Richie and Eddie both. "I couldn't - it was too much and I knew it was.... we all had to be there, and I couldn't-" This was not going the way he'd wanted it to, but it all came spilling out and none of it the way he'd wanted it to, she knew. He knew that she did, Richie had known, and Eddie, Bev would know too and he couldn't just wait for her to bring it up.
