In the end he thought it was probably more likely that Richie wouldn't tell him anything about what he was thinking or feeling, but they'd been like that - so many of them, not talking about their feelings unless they were shouting about it, and like this? Who was going to start shouting first? So they stayed hidden and quiet and kept to themselves. But now that Stan knew Richie was struggling it was something he could try and look out for a little more, give Richie the option of sharing when he wanted it.
Or just the option of being distracted if he preferred that, they could talk about sewer alligators or where they were going to fit in another hammock because Stan was fucking going to get into a hammock thank you very much, or anything else for that matter.
"He's a goblin, I'm telling you." He agreed with a soft huff and a shake of his head. "We're sticking together, I promise." He assured Richie too, not just Eddie that he wasn't going anywhere, he was going to stay here in town with them, he wasn't looking for a way out or an escape, this was where he lived now with them and he wasn't planning on giving that up any time soon.
