Stan let himself be pulled down, wrapping himself around Richie, all of it was too much, the world he'd taken himself out of, what Richie had been left with, being here, the reality of what this new reality actually was, all of it. And sometimes you just needed to sit on the floor with that, to let that sit on you and know that it was just the way things were no matter how huge or awful or scary or overwhelming that might be. So yeah, maybe sometimes they needed a snuggle about it, it was fine. Stan was never going to turn that down, not from either of his Losers.
"I don't know," He shrugged a little at the sort of question about whether or not Richie could be mad at him. "I mean I think you could be mad if that's what you feel about it." Sure, he didn't want Richie to be mad at him, or what he'd done, but Richie could feel what he felt about it, "You don't have to reassure me about it, Richie. I made my choice, and maybe it was selfish and terrible of me, but I did it - you're the one that has to live with it." Richie and Eddie, and all the other Loser all had to live with what he'd done, in hopes of keeping them safe, yes, but also so he didn't have to face what was too terrifying for him to imagine facing a second time.
"I love you too, Rich. I am sorry." Stan said again, butting his head gently against Richie's. "None of it was fair, not the situation, not what I did, not what you have to live with now. You can be mad about it, or anything else you want to feel about it, just tell us about it sometime, you know?" He offered, "You don't have to do it all on your own." Because he understood that desire to take care of it all himself, to spare his friends the burden of his feelings - Stan knew that only too well, but Richie didn't have to make the same mistakes he had. Not when Stan was here to remind him that he didn't need to do it.
"If it makes you feel any better," He added, "Eddie already told me I'm not allowed to go anywhere again, so you're kind of stuck with me, man. And I extracted a similar promise from Eds."
