Gwen hoped with all of her heart that she and Harry could build a lasting friendship and grow close to each other. Her trust wasn't something she gave too freely, although here she seemed more willing to give it than back home. She knew, of course, this wasn't the Harry she'd been close to in her world, but she hoped that there was enough of a natural bond from having a closeness with him and he with her in their respective worlds that they could build a foundation here in friendship. It would allow them to learn about each other, good and bad things, the similarities and differences, and hopefully to have fun together.
"Well, yeah," she said when he teased her about spoiling him. Gwen was so glad she'd thought of her old house. He might decide he wanted to venture into one of the houses that had been previously unoccupied later, but he'd at least have a warm bed and a place to unwind right now until he made that choice. It wasn't far from where she lived with her family, either. She liked the thought of him being close.
"Thanks," she said when he invited her in. "I'll come back tomorrow, if you want. You should really get a better idea of the town when it's light outside. And you know, we can hang out if you want."
