Harry Osborn ([info]goblinglider) wrote in [info]snapthread,
Peter was his best friend. The two of them had just been together back home escaping from an explosion. Peter had just been right there, right behind him, before Harry found himself on a snow covered street. It was a little confusing and, given his blackouts, a little scary. Calling out to Peter had been a natural reaction. Peter had always been there for him when he needed it. Even when he hadn't realized it. He could, however, be convinced to seek the two versions of his best friend out in the morning. It might've even been the better idea. He refused to believe that neither of them would be his Peter and hadn't even thought of the possibility of one of them not knowing who he was. It was entirely possible Harry wouldn't be able to handle that disappointment no matter how he managed to play it off.

There were monsters involved. The Jackal's spider virus had been great for Gwen and most of New York for awhile but that had changed. After working with Anya and Peter to clear it up, however, she seemed to have retained her powers. She was still a well-loved hero with an adoring fanbase and no secret identity. Her costume hadn't had a mask. So far it hadn't had any repercussions either. No one was rampaging down her neighborhood or putting her friends and family in danger yet. She was just surrounded by fans if Peter could be believed.

"A couple of years? My Gwen is new at the whole spider power thing." Peter was too. Spider-Man hadn't even been around for a year just yet. It was probably a good thing she hadn't been exposed to a virus. It saved her the trauma of turning into a giant spider monster and the mind control they had all been under. He wasn't sure what she meant by good in this case but... "Yeah." He said, smiling a little as he thought about her. "She's good." She was a hero. She had recovered from the spider monster thing and she was just an all around amazing person. He was sure this Gwen was too.

Setting his finds aside, but neatly so she wouldn't have to clean up after him, Harry moved back towards her. "I'm... um... I'm glad I ran into you." He knew she wasn't his Gwen but she was still a Gwen. It was comforting to see a familiar face when everything else was so confusing about this place. It was even better that that face was one he trusted without question. "I should probably figure out where I'm staying, huh? How does that work?"
