She smiled as Gwen agreed about Jan, it was nice that she had someone like that, who helped her out and built her up a little bit like the way Tony had done with Peter. Though she hoped that didn't mean things would run parallel there the way they had where she was from. "I do like the idea of women running things, we have too little of that where I'm from." She admitted, she might have been the one leading the Avengers for a while there, but it had only been because there had been no one else, and when it came down to it she'd fallen into line right behind Steve ready to do whatever it took to make things right again. And she never regretted that, she'd have followed Steve to the ends of the earth and further than that, and she had and she didn't regret it - but things could have been different, in another world maybe.
"I'm sure it's more complicated than that though," She gave Gwen a small knowing smile, certain things could be great, and it was easy to focus on that, but reality was more than just cool talking points and girl power. At least this place was something of a reprieve from that.
She couldn't help the way she breathed out a low breath of a laugh when Gwen guessed if it was weird and nodded. "Yeah, more than a little bit weird." She agreed, and she was surprised to hear that Gwen had been giving her space even as Natasha had been kind of avoiding people she thought might have known her before. She'd have to give Gwen more credit for noticing something like that. She set a hand on the counter top trying to gain just a little bit of stability. "I think if some other me thought you were someone she could trust that's a better recommendation than I could get from anyone else." She told her honestly. Natasha didn't understand how this worked, how they ended up here or how she'd come and gone without remembering it, but she was here now and she didn't want to waste this chance.
"I'd like to get to know you more." She told Gwen honestly, "It's not really the sort of thing I've gotten to do often, so this all feels like the perfect excuse to try it out."
