A part of her had thought that things might just calm down the more time she was in town, she'd find a real routine, something she could stick to and she'd figure out a new way to be. As it turned out, in practice she wasn't very good at this sort of living, for all that finding herself in both a dark and horrible forest and a hotel that was more nightmare than get away had been truly terrible experiences, she'd been better at those than she was figuring out how to make a life here in this quaint little town that had been built up by those who found themselves. She was still trying to figure out how to make peace with it, with the end of one life and now the start of another - with the reality of how things had ended for her friends, and what her sacrifice had truly meant.
But Natasha was trying of course, she spent time with Steve and Tony, she'd met a few others in town she'd never known in any life, and she was still getting out to try and find that thing that seemed to fit well for her now that she was here. Today she thought maybe she'd visit the sort of gym that Steve had put together and see if she could talk him into a little bit of sparring, but when she made her way through the house she paused when she found Gwen in the kitchen looking like she was getting ready to put together a meal.
"Grilled cheese?" She guessed as she approached Gwen, she hadn't gotten a lot of time to spend with Gwen one on one just yet - they lived together of course so she knew her, but Natasha was still feeling things out there, getting to know someone who had known another her? Or was the other version her too? It was hard to say, she was still trying to sort of how she felt about that as well.
"It's a good day for it." But now seemed as good a time as any to correct that, and get to know the girl that had won Tony over so thoroughly. "Peanut butter was a favorite of mine," She added, "It's like a dessert and a meal all in one."
