"I don't think I ever thought our world was fucked up," Kitty admitted thoughtfully, "I thought there were some close-minded people there, but it was still the same world it had always been. This place though-" She shook her head. John was right, this place was more than weird, it defied explanation and understanding and now this was where they lived, in this world that was difficult to understand in the best of times and impossible in the worst. "We've survived it all though." She added, that was the important thing, both the world they were from, sort of, and now this one. It threw a lot at them, but they'd survived it all.
She smiled and nodded, "I don't have anywhere to be." And Kitty wasn't in a hurry to extract herself from John just yet - she needed this kind of closeness just as much as he did, so she was happy to stay right there with him.
"Thank you." She said sweetly to their pikachu when he brought them a blanket, reaching a hand down to pet him gently for his efforts while John was dreaming of a beach. "A beach does sound pretty nice, one with a cabana." She added her own ideas to this fantasy. "And some of those drinks with little umbrellas in them." She teased a little bit, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth after a moment. "Maybe next month."
