It was true. It was something they could spend the entire day or until they were blue in the face, and still have no further answers than they do now. That was just the nature of the beast one might say. "You're too smart for your own good. I don't get why you're with a dummy like me." John blurted out. Sure he was far from stupid, but Kitty was just smart, and John just had a love for that. He wasn't too proud to admit he wasn't the smartest one in the room - well at least to Kitty.
Trauma was weird, and John didn't like it. Just taking his personality type, he just wanted things to happen and for it to be done. Carry on, and don't let himself be caught in the same type of situation a second time if he could help it. Scrunching his nose at Kitty while she tapped on his forehead. Logically, her words were sound. Though John being himself, he responded. "I'm a man though, I'm not supposed to have a brain." Of course, it was still valid, this was something that just was going to dredge up from time to time, and there was nothing John could do. Except be afraid of the dark, hell, it wasn't even the dark - it was the between point where dark met light. That was where he watched for things that went bump in the night.
"Of course you have." John mused with a purr to the kiss to his jaw. Simple things to distract his mind. "We both don't share well with others well." Though he shifted his head and tapped the same spot on the other side. "Excuse me. Leaving me lopsided."
John watched her hand, and he hated that she got hurt to start with. He knew it was bad if she got hurt, and the guy she went with - Nyx? He was all sorts of messed up according to Kitty. Things that bleed acid, terrifying. "Those doors are not kind to you and I." John muttered. We have to have good luck sooner or later, right?"
