"I think someone would have come through by now if that was the case, how many strange and crazy places have we been, and everyone else?" She reminded him, she couldn't say it with complete certainty but Kitty held on to the conviction of her belief and let that carry her words. She believed it even if she couldn't be entirely certain. Nothing was coming through, they went through the doors, and they brought things back, things didn't come on their own.
Not through the doors at least.
This place was too twisted up and strange to really understand it, nothing made sense and it was all just a little bit wrong - she knew that, but she didn't let herself get caught up in those kinds of thoughts. She focused on the good. On John and the animals and everything else. As John moved closer, shifting toward her she moved too, turning so her legs were draped over her lap but she wasn't sitting on him, more curling herself around his body as he leaned into her, wrapping an arm around his shoulders as well to keep him close.
"Yes, you are very attractive." She agreed, wrinkling her nose at him teasingly. "I'm sure anyone could see that just to look at you." She certainly had. But she liked that she could get him teasing even in the midst of this.
"It will get easier," She told him finally after a moment, "Living with it, the memories." She had so many terrible memories of her own, maybe not exactly what John had lived through, but things that haunted her mind and her dreams and they got easier, the further from them she got and she had faith the same would be true for John.
