"It's not here," She said it again, "Nothing comes back through the doors, remember?" She reminded him, nothing that they didn't bring themselves at least - and well she had a feeling that this tentacle thing wasn't the sort of thing that John or anyone else was eager to bring back with them. So they were safe here, John was safe here and Kitty was going to keep reminding him of that until he believed it. However long it took, she had time.
She rubbed his hand gently, a little like the way she'd pet Kasai earlier while John told her a little bit more, the feeling that weighed on him, what had happened to him when he'd gone through then. "That seems to be what the doors were doing then." She agreed when John told her that he hadn't seen anything like it. She curled her hand after he'd pressed a kiss there against it, so that her fingers fit against his cheek, "That's what everyone was saying, they ended up places facing things they'd never seen before." She certainly had never seen anything like what she and Nyx had faced together. And she'd heard the same from others.
At his joke Kitty couldn't help but huff softly. "Are you trying to tell me that the tentacles had their way with you?" She teased lightly carrying over his joke for just a moment longer.
"I think that was the point." She said after a beat, "What everyone dealt with through there, the way you're feeling, that fear?" She told him. "I think we were supposed to be scared, like it found the sort of thing that would scare us all and sent us there." And it had absolutely worked, but she didn't like the thought of something out there controlling the doors like that any more than she'd liked having to deal with those aliens either.
