Richie still thought he was cute and he'd, apparently, mentioned it enough that Bill knew about it. Eddie really couldn't help the way his smile softened, expression turning into something unquestionably loving as he thought about Richie. He loved that idiot and these little reminders of how much that idiot loved him just helped him feel a little better. It was stupid of him to be jealous. Stupid of him to be upset or to just disengage the way he had. He needed to try harder. He needed to be better and less afraid. Richie deserved that.
Of course, thinking it was one thing and acting on it was another. He'd see just how well his courage held up once he was back home and trying to figure out what to say to Richie.
Turning his attention back to Bill he nodded a little, glad that the other wasn't looking for more of an explanation. These things were kind of hard to talk about. It didn't matter that Bill was a wizard and came from a place where magic was an actual thing. He didn't think a monster clown that ate children and lived in the sewers of some small town in Maine was quite as believable as magic. There was a reason they never told anyone else.
"Richie's the best." he murmured, not really correcting Bill but saying it for his own benefit. He really did think Richie was the best and he'd fight anyone who said differently.
