Well the smile helped, Eddie looked less like a basketcase and some of the tension of their meeting faded. Enough that Bill smiled in return, the tension slipping from his shoulders as he returned to his usual relaxed stance. "I can guarantee he still thinks your cute," Bill said in a stage whisper. Obviously Eddie was as gone over Richie as he was over him and honestly it was good to see, it set him at ease to know his new friend wasn't out to get his heart broken by someone.
"You don't have to explain, I can't be hilarious all the time," Bill said although honestly he was and anyone who didn't think so maybe had questionable taste. But now wasn't the time for that. Not now that they were maybe kind of getting along a little bit. "There's a lot of baggage around here."
They'd been through a lot and Bill hadn't intruded on it, but he'd heard enough to know it was too much for any one person. "You don't have to thank me for that, Richie's a good lad and I'm glad that I could be there when he needed."
