Peter Parker | Gwen Stacy
It was like she'd said before. It was a comfort to know that she wasn't alone, both as a Spider-Person and from sharing life experience. But knowing that others had gone through things that she had made her feel terrible, too. She didn't want anyone to have to experience tragedy, herself included. But it wasn't something any of them could stop, unfortunately, much as they tried as super-hero-types because some stuff was just beyond their control. And that seemed to be a common thread because just about everyone here had gone through some pretty awful shit at some point.
"It's good to hear that there's a good version of him out there," Gwen said. Maybe she'd leave the fact that she'd experienced that sort of thing in the opposite way about Peter -- twice -- for another conversation. If a plate of chicken was his lifeline right now, Gwen didn't think it'd be a good time to say she knew two Peters who'd been driven to madness for one reason or another, both of which had to do with her or some version of her.
"I'd like that to be the case. It'd certainly make things easier. Kind of stuck in the whole 'no good deed goes unpunished' situation back home, so it makes being here a little bit of a reprieve." She smiled a bit. "Thanks for saying that. We should hang out more, which if we're living in the same house makes that pretty easy to do. I don't know if you've seen it yet but there's a big jungle gym thing that one of the wizards built a long time ago before he left for the Spiderlings. It's a good place to get some energy out. We should go sometime."
