Peter | Tony 2.0
Peter just....stares for a second. The irony of a younger Tony Stark telling him that 'not dying' is a quote 'best possible plan' is just shy of tragically hilarious. He wonders if this Tony knows, if he knows everything that's in his maybe-future, or at least alternate-future, whatever. He lets it go, because he honestly doesn't know what he's going to say to that besides wholly inappropriate laughter that makes him look like a lunatic.
"Oh, wait, the Wasp?" Peter blinks, trying to place the recognition. He thinks he saw her, on the battlefield with Ant-Man, but Peter was never close enough for an introduction. He didn't know her name was Janet, though, and he had no idea if his Tony knew her or not. "Sorry, hold on - Academy? What academy?"
He's pretty sure Tony mentioned an academy before, but he was so preoccupied with his holy shit TONY freakout to fully comprehend it. How different were the different universes? Peter understood that it wasn't an exact science - Gwen and older!Peter (is ancient!Peter better? Filed away for further field research) had definitely had some major differences, and there was no one universe that was more correct than any other. "How did she get back, and you didn't?"
Honestly, there's only so much stress his poor heart can take. Thank God for Gwen Stacy. "No I guess - I mean before. Apparently there were a lot, uh, of us. At one point, or something. But they both...seem nice."
