Pete and Pete
"I mean I'm kind of good at it." He admitted with a laugh, "No one could get a clear shot of the guy until I did it. And now it's sort of my thing, anyone needs a pick of Spidey and I'm on it." Of course Peter never told the papers that the reason he got those pictures was because he was orchestrating them himself, but that was something else entirely. "And you know, it pays pretty well too - enough that I don't have to worry about a real job, I can focus on other things." Which had been important too - you couldn't very well leave the world saving to fit into those spaces around a regular nine to five sort of thing.
It was all a lot, living back home, figuring out a way to balance out being Spider-Man and have a life of his own, but also being here. It was just a different kind of a lot. It was the kind of a lot that people really shouldn't have to deal with, the being here part of it - especially when they had the real world sort on their shoulders already, but it was what it was.
"I don't know, man, the other spider-guys figured it out when I met them!" He shrugged, it was just sort of a thing, but he could forgive Peter for it, it wasn't like he'd been pulled through a portal the way Peter had been the first time, or jumped into one the way Peter had the second. He'd been - well Peter didn't really know, but he knew it hadn't been good.
Peter's mouth thinned out just a little when younger Peter asked him if he'd lived through what he had, and as much as he'd like to say yes immediately, to tell him of course and he knows exactly how to get him through it he can't do that. "I don't think I've lived through all of it." He admitted, "I've compared notes with some other Spider-guys and there are some differences in the worlds we're from. The big things are the same. You know, Uncle Ben, Aunt May, MJ, Spider-Man, it gets more complicated after that." He explained.
"I've been doing this for over two decades now, so I've been through a lot, but it's gonna be different than what you've done." He paused for a moment, "But the thing is, the details of it - they might be different, but at the heart of it all we're the same. And that's what I can help you with."
