"Ah, yeah, I'm not that great with the tech...stuff." The kids had asked him to help on a project they were doing for AV Club exactly once, because apparently he was close enough to an "Adult" for the soldering part of the project (spoiler alert: he was not "Adult" enough. Luckily, Nancy was, when she ran into the garage with a fire extinguisher.) "The book is what you're doing, though."
"I thought as much. Shit." Steve sighs and rests his hands on his hips. That's maybe the hardest pill to swallow. Their little group - they've been through so much already, and now with him, disappearing? It's going to set off every alarm in the book, because they know he wouldn't just dip on them. They'll be lucky if the little bastards don't find a way to punch a hole in the universe to come get him. "Yeah that'd be - that'd be great. And I mean, if there's anything I can do to help...I've got people, back home, that are really gonna lose it when they realize I'm gone."
"And you don't know why. Like...this thing couldn't grab anyone else from where I come from, could it?" Steve knows that Tony doesn't have the answers to his questions, not really, but he feels like he has to ask.
