"Well I mean sure, yeah, you could say that about anywhere. I mean it doesn't matter where in the world you are no place is entirely safe." Tony shrugged, life was complicated and no one was ever as safe as they wanted to think they were - some people were just more aware of it than others. "I'm just saying, you know, I've had to save the world like ten times back home and I've never had to do that here." Sure there had been that werewolf attack but he didn't need to tell Steve about that while he was having his crisis.
"I don't think it's going to happen again, I mean it might - I'd love to tell you it wouldn't, but that wouldn't be true - but I've been here..... maybe eight months now? And nothing has pulled me out yet." He offered it as a little bit of reassurance, and maybe a little bit of proof about how stuck they really were.
Tony waved off the pack of cigarettes when Steve offered them shaking his head. It had been a while since he'd seen someone so young smoking like that. "Out of curiosity - when are you from?" He asked, leaning a little heavy on the when, so maybe he could get Steve to tell him without immediately adding that maybe he'd traveled in time - or maybe they all had, it was complicated, a world outside of time.
