Okay, maybe he had been getting ready to open his mouth and say Starklandia again, but Steve didn't have to know that. "It's kind of complicated," He said instead because sure Starklandia was the name of the place they were, or at least the name they had given it, but it wasn't really an explanation of what this place was. "You wouldn't have heard of the multiverse, would you?" He asked, more curious if anything, maybe where Steve was from that was a thing, even if pagers were too.
"Come on," Tony laughed while Steve grumbled about the phone, "Would I lie to you? I mean look at this face." He lifted a hand to run a circle around his own face like that would prove anything to an absolute stranger. "Come look at it at least, I'll show you."
Of course when Steve asked about where he was from - well he had a feeling that was just going to add to the complications of all of this. "I'm from New York," Simple enough at least, "As for how I got here, well - I was in my workshop working on a new project and in the middle of it all the power went out, and I tripped over my tool box and when I stood up again I had shown up here, in the middle of town, I'd say maybe not all that far from where you did." He lifted his shoulders. "I haven't really figured out how it happened yet, there seems to be some sort of .... I don't know, force, at work that pulls people here and once you end up here, there doesn't really seem to be a way to get out, unless that force decides to kick you out."
