Natasha | Bucky
There were too many unknowns in a place like this and Natasha didn't appreciate it - her own door gone, James' as well probably, and they were being hunted. It was almost familiar in some ways, like the sick sort of games that she'd been forced to play as a young girl all in the name of training. But here she was now - with James at her back and they were going to have to find a way out of this. Because this wasn't training this was something real and they both needed to get back to town.
She heard the sounds of one that didn't seem to be too far and she began to move toward it with slow careful steps, leading James with her steps as they moved, keeping her back to his so at least they had a better chance of seeing something that was coming. It was obvious now that there was more than one of these things, that they were moving from all sides and it made the hair at the back of her neck stand up at the feeling of it.
It was one thing to face down men, it was something else to know that there were monsters in the dark like this.
"Just ahead," She told him quietly. "I think I can see it." She thought she could at least, the outline of something was there, large and hidden in the shadows. She didn't like this, the not knowing, facing down monsters, she'd had more than her share of monsters in her life and she had thought the afterlife probably should have meant she didn't have to do things like this anymore. But here she was, machete in her hands lifted as she moved closer drawing it out in the most direct way possible, forcing it out of the shadows as she drew nearer and then swung with the machete as lunged.
She didn't even have time to try and guess what it was, it was big though, covered it tangles of hair and teeth - she'd seen the teeth, as well as claws that came swinging at her as she struck at it with the machete, aiming for it's head but she didn't think she'd quite hit her mark.
