Leia Organa | Siri Tachi
"Yes, we are both bad at patience. And I heard it, too." Her tone, her face were both grim. She never had that politic poker face that Obi-Wan did, not unless she was truly trying. After she spoke, another howl came, closer this time although not yet upon them. "There are a lot of animals that can make that sound," she reasoned, "and frankly, several sentient species as well. We've got our choices."
She could center herself in the Force, but she knew Leia wasn't as practiced. So she took out her saber, not yet igniting it but having it close at hand. It would give tacit release for Leia to do the same, and that might reassure them more than words. Siri had always found it so, anyway. A woman of action. Now that whatever it was seemed closer, she reached out with the Force to try and sense it.
"Be prepared-" she said, but even with her senses extended, she was not ready for how quickly whatever it was came upon them. It didn't come into the clearing, instead rushing to the edge and then holding back to stare them down, and Siri fell into a stance to try and protect the princess. "Is that....a shistavanen?" she murmured, as a furred snout and glowing eyes eased past the edge of the trees.
