Father/Daughter Woods Date?
No, nothing had really changed because they'd been what they were now before. But -- maybe it was more obvious now? Tony was a little more secure in believing what he'd already known to be true. It didn't matter where she'd come from or where he'd come from -- they were family now. And that was simply fact. Gwen Stacy was the best daughter anyone could ask for -- and Tony Stark wasn't intent on sharing. Except maybe with Steve. But even then, only a little bit.
His shoes crunched through the leaves and brush and Tony was well aware that he wasn't dressed for travel in the cool woods, not in jeans, tennis shoes and thin-t-shirt -- one of Steve's hoodie's too, but he had it unzipped to afford them a little light. Oh, sure, he had his nanotech on him but -- it didn't feel particularly right to suit up and leave Gwen without. In fact, if anything started going really wrong, he was more likely to let her have the tech. But for now it was just -- woods. Maybe.
"We could go up," he said, even though twenty minutes to prepare didn't sound like a bad idea. But mental fortification only went so far when you had no real idea of what you were preparing for. "Getting a better view isn't a bad idea. Better than making me think of contortionist children in the underbrush. Feels like the sort of thing I should have started a charity for back home. Get the horror children out of the woods and into a good home."
