Natasha hadn't even given her state of dress a thought, far too used to her body being seen as a tool than to consider any of it her own any longer. And maybe knowing it was Steve she'd woken up beside helped her to avoid any sort of false modesty she might have pretended to put on with anyone else. They had a special bond, even as children they'd felt it, and she wasn't about to let waking up in bed with him spoil that. Especially because she knew they'd gone to bed as children after all.
Still she let herself enjoy the pink of his ears just a little, with a small smile. She'd have to ask Tony about that later. After the boys had a chance to reconnect the way she was certain they'd both want to.
"You were sweet," She promised him, he still was - even now as he lifted her hand to his mouth. It wasn't the sort of fairy tale ending they might have imagined as children, and frankly they were both better off for it, but it was nice.
"It might not have been the worst life we could have had." No she was quite certain she'd lived that life already. "I think I'd have preferred it to be honest." She admitted, turning her hand in his so she could let her fingertip skim over his cheek lightly, her thumb stroking over his cheekbone for just a moment, admiring him and the fantasy of the last week. "I can't promise I'd have made a very good housewife though." She pulled away then, reality setting in once more the longer she was awake. No she didn't get things like that. But Steve - well he'd found something better than that she thought.
