Are you fucking Sirius? ([info]beingsirius) wrote in [info]snapthread,
Oh, no, there was definitely sarcasm and some eye-rolling. A lot of people probably forgot or didn't realize, for how mild mannered Moony tended to be, but he was one of the Marauders same as him and James. Moony was sarcastic and fun-loving as the rest of them. He just hid it better in public. And was, yes, generally more sensible. Eddie would probably like him.

Sirius had been an older brother, but the whole of the experience had been incredibly underwhelming, considering Regulus Black had never much liked him. They might have gotten on when they were younger, but their parents had pitted them against each other until there was no point in trying to socialize. Sometimes it made Sirius a bit morose to think on it for too long -- but then there were times like these when he thought someone who wasn't Regulus would have been a more thrilling experience. Eddie was clearly good little brother material, all clever and easily excited, but also cautious enough to have reasons for Sirius to be cajoling. It was fun. He grinned, all dimples and bright teeth and wriggled his wand like it was show and tell. "I am cool," he said, and firmly believed it.

Eddie picked a good spot, Sirius figured. Not too bright, but still in a spot that'd be warm with sunlight later on in the day. And it wasn't like it was exactly in a walkway or anything. He nodded his approval even as he popped his trunk open and started pulling out supplies. "A shelf next to it," he decided. "You muggles don't have accio. Dunno how you do it, sitting down and knowing you've got to get up for something if you forget it on the first go."

Either way, he got to work, eyeballing the space thoughtfully before building up sturdy support beams with wood and stone. "Transfiguration is just making one thing into another thing," he explained as he worked. "It's easy, once you figure it out."
