He was very good at magic, he'd done it plenty in his existence, he could just be rusty from time to time. But children loved magic. Yes, he decided it was probably a very good idea to show their new charges just a little bit of magic, the joy of a child's wonder was worth the effort of brushing off his skills once more. So that would come in the days to follow he decided, for now though there were more interesting things to consider.
Perhaps the way, Crowley considered his question, the way he looked at him as he took it in. Aziraphale for his part, sipped at his wine like he was content to wait and not endlessly curious about what drove Crowley to do the things he did. Crowley was fascinating and always had been really, even when Aziraphale had done his best to keep him firmly in the enemy of the armies of heaven category where he might have belonged.
And this was no different really, a study of the demon he loved in great point of fact. It seemed a very good use of his time in this place where they had so much.
"Indeed." He agreed of the time they'd had with Warlock, it had been there and gone in a flash, and Adam for and even shorter amount of time than that. And now here they were with more children for some reason. "You always did have a soft spot for the children." He said after a moment, remembering back to the flood. But unlike a great many adults, Aziraphale understood that children at least were merely caught up in plans that were not of their own design.
