Who: America Chavez and Diego Hargreeves
What: A run in
Where: Around town
When: the evening of the 19th
She was still here, and America was not pleased to find that her other brilliant idea hadn't worked out in the way she'd wanted. So here she was, and feeling more and more like she was in a place that she couldn't stay than she had since she arrived. It was like an itch under her skin, that said she had stayed here for long enough and it was time to bounce, and yet it seemed like that was going to be beyond her abilities to pull off. She had a feeling this had nothing to with Madrimar, though a small part of her had hoped maybe her grandmother would reveal herself at some point and admit having a hand in all of this. That this was just one more lesson that America had to learn as she moved through life.
But the longer she was hear that hoped died just a little bit more, until she was here at this point where she was now, feeling hopeless. She'd told Kate they were getting home, that she believed that they were getting out of here, but for the moment she felt a little unsure of that. Maybe they really were stuck, maybe this was it, maybe this was just going to be life now. Without some of her powers - things she'd relied on for so long, things that made her who she was.
"Come on!" She grumbled and punched her fist into the air watching as a star-portal tried to open, the bright light of the portal shining on her lighting the surrounding area, but rather than remain bright and shining, it started to flicker and blitz in the air and then died out completely. So focused was she on trying to force a second portal open that America had stopped paying attention to the area around her, and didn't even notice that someone had come up on her while she was working out some pent up frustration on useless star portals that refused to cooperate.
