Lunafreya Nox Fleuret ([info]lunafreyanox) wrote in [info]snapthread,
"I'm-" She had started to say, I'm not hungry but she heard the tone and she understood it from long experience. He wanted to placate her rather than tell her what was really going on. Protecting her. She would be rude to refuse. It was as if she could hear her mother chiding her now. "Thank you, a snack would be nice." She managed a smile too, kind if a bit sad around the edges. She didn't have many friends here. She didn't even know the other kids, not really. But maybe she should try harder.

Taking his hand, she let Nyx lead her over to a stool, which she got onto with more grace than a child should have had. Debating what to say, she decided for more honesty. She thought he would appreciate that more, somehow. "I don't....get along too well with the others." She chewed her lower lip, absently. Her eyes were too old for her face; it was as if adult Lunafreya's eyes remained when everything else changed. Or more likely, she'd just always been that way. "Other children. I'm too....um. Formal."
