Eddie | Richie
This was... nice. It was nowhere near as gross or scary as he thought it would be. Well, maybe not as gross. It was still fucking scary. He was pretty sure the entire party could hear his heart pounding out of his chest. So it was scary as hell but... it was nice. Richie's lips were soft, warm, and there was something else to it too. Something that shot through him like an electric charge, that left him feeling warm all over. Something that made him blush bright red from head to toe.
And that was just a light peck to the lips. He was completely unprepared for the way it all just seemed to build when Richie kissed him back. Like everything Richie did it was rough around the edges, a little overly enthusiastic. Maybe he pushed too hard or too much but everything about it was Richie and that meant it was perfect.
He could've lived in that moment. His hands on Richie's face, their lips pressed together, and Richie's arms still around him. He could've forgotten about the party and the other kids if something hadn't caught his attention. He wasn't sure what it was. Maybe it wasn't the party or the other kids at all. Maybe it was something in him. Something he didn't quite understand. Whatever internalized fear caught up to him in that moment had him pulling back. Not pushing. Never pushing. He didn't want to push Richie away. He just needed to end the kiss. For a moment he just stared up at the other boy, eyes wide and face red. Before turning and running without explanation.
