He was right, she did call him John. She felt it then as she looked at him - of course she called him John. Why didn't she know that at first? It was all confusing, but well names weren't as important as what was going on here.
She was poking around the rest of the kitchen while John looked at the pictures some more before he crouched down to talk to the turtles. That was still weird, two giant turtles who talked. Not to mention the other animals they had. Lockheed made some kind of sense for some reason but she had a harder time with the other animals. But John seemed to take to talking right back to them as he knelt down to ask them about the picture and whether or not they were them.
Her eyes went wide watching both the turtles happily agree that they were the people in the picture. "That's impossible, look at me." She held her arms out to show off that she was just a kid still in a shirt that was too big for her, she couldn't be the lady in the pictures. And John - he was just a boy, no way could he be a man. No way was she gonna live with a man. That was gross!
"Maybe..." She started and paused, "Maybe we should have some breakfast?" She suggested, because she wasn't ready to deal with the rest of it just yet. "I found some cereal."
