"Yes I went to bed in my room, so this is my room!" Angry at the idea that he might be suggesting this wasn't her room. Of course it was, just because it didn't look quite right didn't mean that it wasn't hers okay. She went to bed in her room and she woke up in her room, she knew it somewhere inside her that this was her room. But rather than fight more about that he seemed to have caught up to where she was and seen some of the animals that surrounded them, two giant turtles and a yellow.... thing and a giant fox? And then Lockheed.
"He's a dragon." She said immediately because of course he was and she knew he was even if she didn't really know how she knew that. Lockheed who had been looking annoyed at having been woken by their screaming cast a glance at her and nodded like he understood her and pushed up off the bed making the short flight from where he'd been curled up sleeping to settle himself across her shoulders. "Your dragon." He said softly so only she heard him and then rested his head around the curve of her neck, like a security blanket and Kitty felt better having him close. The weight of the dragon a familiar comfort and she was glad that there was at least one small thing in all of this that felt familiar like that.
All of this was too much, she just wanted to sleep in and maybe she could talk her mom into making waffles for breakfast and they'd sit at the table together and her dad would let her have the comic section of the paper and the radio would play softly and it'd be a nice morning together, but all there was was this boy and she wanted to cry. But he was trying to reassure her a little, introducing himself and she bit her lower lip just a little sniffing just a little, "Kitty." She said softly after a moment.
