You aren't being bossy. And that's the exact reason I worry about the idea of a patrol - when there are no threats, people tend to invent them, and without external ones, the place the people patrolling will begin to invent them is with anyone who's not a patroller.
I'm not too worried about accidents; I feel like most of the people who arrived with their own firearms know how to handle their own firearms, and how to be safe about it. And I feel like any conversation about locking weapons up...
I don't know if you've noticed, but this is a group that can, occasionally, run directly to an extreme position and then comfortably set up camp there. We bring up locking up weapons, it will take an extreme turn to the people whose weapons are part of their DNA makeup assuming that means they'll be locked up, too, and then the people who want their personal weapons close by will wonder why they have to surrender theirs if, say, Carol is allowed to continue to exist when she can shoot blasts from her hands, etcetera.
It will turn into a mess. It will turn into a mess very quickly. I'm not saying it's not worth bringing up, but I think it should be brought up with due consideration, and maybe if we put a few more minds on how to approach it. It's a problem that can be solved so that everyone feels safe and comfortable, but it shouldn't be broached on a whim.
