I have such a love for Lockhart. He's really a much more complex and intriguing character than most people realize and too readily dismissed. How sad that his feigned illness would have been so easy to detect if only someone cared enough to look. And how strange was it that Snape, of all people, was the only one willing to see through it but not condemn him for it.
This was really brilliant. You took an unappealing, unsympathetic, and unlikeable character and turned him into someone human that we could relate to and sympathize with. That's quite a feat in only 3200 words. Great job.
