Snape fans are awesome! We're amazed at the generosity. :)

You've probably guessed we've got more(!) pledges, but before we post them, we would like to take a moment to remind our more enthusiastic readers and participants with personal favourite Snape pairings that the point of [info]snapelyholidays is to highlight Snape and the many different possible relationships he can have, as well as the happiness, heartbreak and/or horniness that could take place in them. ;)

Seeing Snape interact with other characters -- ALL the other characters, not just one or two in particular -- is our goal. We don't wish for the exchange to become skewed, even if it's ostensibly in the name of charity.

That said, our charities are:

Partners in Health (one of the first in quake-ravaged Haiti, and still helping there and in other disaster-stricken or war-torn areas)

Tearfund. This UK-based group has been working in Pakistan, even before the devastating floods, and they get around the reported Taliban abuse/corruption by distributing funds directly to their members on site, in order to help the people who need it most.

Soles 4 Souls. When you walk everywhere, caring for your feet is important. Soles4Souls provide shoes for the impoverished in underdeveloped nations, and also for victims of disaster all over the world. One dollar guarantees one pair of shoes donated to someone in desperate need.

  • $1 (Canadian) for every story that pairs Snape with someone who used to work at Hogwarts when he was a student (former professors, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Filch, etc.)
