I really enjoyed your story. The Beauty and the Beast theme was present, but you did a great job of giving it a very HP twist. So many nice details sprinkled throughout--the Christmas gift, Severus' care of the flowers, Arthur's looking for the photo of the twins, the use of Sirius' mirror, Severus' contemplation of his reflection, Harry's memory of the shattered mirrors on his arrival. All of these really set a tone for the story and don't attempt to brush over the "little" difficult moments in life. My favorite scene is when Harry decides to take another vacation--it's another quiet moment and yet a momentous decision. And I love that there is no miracle cure at the end, great twist.
The art captures some very memorable scenes as well. The image of the flowers foreshadows their importance in the story. Severus' face as he touches the snakeskin is just so naked and honest; it's heartwrenching to see. And the last one is perfectly peaceful and lovely, it nicely foreshadows Harry's decision.
