When I read the prompt I kinda sighed a little, but then saw the length and gave it a go. So glad I did. I adore your broken Harry! The way you slowly, carefully, told the tale of how he came to be in such dire straights, the way you didn't outright condemn those who betrayed them but recognized they were equally unhappy and conflicted over their life choices, the way you had Severus so quietly dominant and guiding Harry along the way. Just beautifully done.
And then the meeting with his old friends! I always adore Luna and Neville, and the way you wrote them just rang through to me. I also adored your Draco, so controlled and stuffy yet so openly in love with his wife and willing to do whatever necessary to make reparations to both Harry and Severus for past actions.
You were so careful with your word choice, so subtle in the way you weaved this tale, that I hardy realized I'd read the whole thing. I wanted more - not in an "this story left me unfulfilled" way, but in a, "HOMG this universe! I want to blow kisses at it until the end of time" kind of way.
