I truly liked this. The scene in the coat closet was delightful. Often I find I have trouble believing (or accepting) stories where Harry and Snape have already gotten together in some nebulous and inexplicable past. It sometimes feels like the easy way out, if that makes sense, to not have to actually tell the story of how their relationship developed. But here, I did not even need a backstory. I accepted that they would have had a past simply from the way you drew their characters. And I loved Harry's quip to Ron: "Voldemort didn't used to sleep with him..." Perfect.
Harry seemed so true to character here. His stubborn determination to do what he feels is right (regardless of all the possibilities, explanations, and reasons). It was great to see him learn to accept ambiguity in the end. Thank you!
