Snape is trying so hard to do the right thing and is challenged at every turn. Harry must have been a trying teen. I'm not normally a fan of 'Severitus' but I liked this one as they weren't really blood relations and there was a long break in the father/son relationship to make this work for me. I can easily see how Harry developed a crush on him outside that relationship. I adored the crazy names Albus kept trying to saddle him with. So glad Snape wasn't crazy enough to choose one of those!!
I also thought the little tidbit about Pope Lucius was interesting. I'd never heard of him. I love when writers add details like this. Not only do I get to read an enjoyable story, but I get to learn new things. And, of course, I had to go look him up on Wikipedia learn more about him. Nicely done.
